課程概述 |
"Sensor Principles and Applications" was a mechatronics-series compulsory course for undergraduate students of Department of Biomechatronics (BME). Now, the course is an elective course for the specialization of "Mechatronics Control" at BME.
Utilizing the knowledge/skills of microcontrollers, electrical circuits, electronics, and programming, students will learn & practice (1) sensors, sensing circuits, and MCU interface, (2) measurement fundamentals for mechatronics, (3) instrumental calibration and S/N control, and (4) emerging topics in sensor R&Ds.
The scope of this course covers sensor theory, contact sensing, distant sensing, sensor materials & devices, electrochemical measurements, image sensing, smart sensing, and sensor algorithm. In addition, modern measurement principles including analog and digital conditioning circuits, instrumental electronics and op amplifiers, system response analysis, A/D and D/A, MCU interfacing, IoT and AI applications will be lectured with hands-on labs and homework assignments.
The goal of this course is to help students to accomplish capstone courses at BME and get ready for advanced learning of state-of-art sensor technology in the AI-IoT era. |
